What does outside general counsel include?

Ongoing support for contracts, employment and contractor issues, governance, and early advice on disputes and growth decisions. It is typically handled on a retainer billed hourly, and monthly flat-fee arrangements are available for some businesses.

Do you handle business acquisitions outside Virginia and North Carolina?

Yes. We represent buyers and sellers in business purchases and sales across the country.

Do you only work with clients in Hampton Roads?

No. We have offices in Norfolk and Raleigh and represent clients throughout Virginia and North Carolina. Many clients meet with us by phone or video.

Do you offer flat fees?

Yes, we offer flat fees on most matters. We will discuss the details during your consultation and determine the right fee arrangement for your matter.

How do I get started?

Consultations for business matters, such as LLC formation, outside general counsel, and mergers and acquisitions, are free, as are nonprofit and criminal defense consultations. Most civil litigation consultations are paid, and fees for other matters depend on the type of matter.
